Vakvagta Fecni (Fecni)
Fecni is our Magyar Agar bitch that we imported from Hungary in May of 2007. Fecni is a classicly old fashioned MA with dead sound structure and fluid movement. In addition to her fine physical attributes she is also a cuddle bug and snuggle buddy. If she has any opportunity to jump in your lap she will eagerly take it!
Although Fecni participates politely and with good sportsmanship, racing is not her strong point and she is often affectionately granted the turtle award. Nevertheless, she has always been a clean and consistent runner, making her the perfect dog to help train young pups and other new racers.
Fecni's true calling and real passion lies in open field coursing. This girl is a hunter at heart and loves nothing more than a good run after the wiley jack rabbit. On her first season out, Fecni won her very first hunt and earned her first points towards her NOFCA championship.
In addition to her exploits in the open field, Fecni has also enjoyed success on the lure coursing scene. Her first two years competing in ASFA she was #1 in the breed rankings and won almost every trial she attended. We look forward to continuing her lure coursing career to see what she can do.
Fecni began her conformation show career in 2008 and has competed in both Rarities and UKC conformation events. In April '09 she wowed us all by winning a UKC Reserve Best in Multi-Breed Show, beating some of the top dogs in the country! She is the very first Magyar Agar to achieve such a distinction in the UKC show circuit and we couldn't be prouder. Fecni finished her UKC championship in June '09 with a Best Female class win under Judge Jim Jones. We are hoping to continue showing Fecni in UKC and to start showing her at IABCA international shows as well.
When she is not racing, hunting or showing Fecni can often be found playing and acting like an over grown puppy. She is always up for some good old fashioned wrestling and enjoys collecting and chewing up any toy or other toy-like object she can find. She also enjoys a good snuggle on the couch every now and then.
