Smokey N Bandit (Bandit)
Bandit is a miniature longhaired dachshund that is co-owned and loved by our dear friend Carol Flanery. We first met Bandit in 2008 at the All K9 races and since then he has worked his way so strongly into our hearts that we have "adopted" him as an honorary member of Team Stout-Hearted. Bandit embodies everything that our team stands for; he's driven, lovable and has a heart of gold.
Bandit's passion is for the lure. He absolutely loves to race and lure course, and he's pretty fast for a short little guy. He began his racing career in 2008 at BRNC's 200 yard All K9 sprint meets as the lone dachshund participant.
Since then he has gone on to be a strong force on both the ABLSA sprint track and UKC terrier racing track. Bandit was fastest overall dachshund at both Rat Terrier Nationals and UKC Premier in 2010. No matter how far that lure goes, Bandit is right there following it with all his might.
In addition to racing and lure coursing, Bandit has also shown himself to be an excellent little weight puller. He always puts 200% into everything he does.
Although he has been neutered, Bandit still enjoys showing off in the altered class and has taken home a Best Altered in Multi Breed Show award. With his flashy markings and winning personality he's a stand-out in the showring!
